The protagonist of Alexei, after 15 years in prison, is released on probation. He is assisted by a sympathetic social worker. Vilnius at night is full of provocative situations. It is difficult for Alexei to accept the new order. He restrains himself and tries not to follow the old bandit habits. Depressed by guilt, he tries to come to terms with his daughter Maja, who has become a prostitute. However, every attempt has failed.

Director’s Biography
Rinaldas Tomaševičius
Rinaldas Tomaševičius is an emerging film director and screenwriter. Before starting his career as a film director, he experienced homelessness himself. Only 12 years ago he managed to escape his desperate situation. This experience is the main inspiration for his films. Rinaldas is most interested in the stories of people who do not conform to social norms. He is personally committed to helping those on the “margins” to integrate into society. For many years has been volunteering in various organisations helping ex-prisoners and drug addicts. His short films “The Last Generation” and “-15” have successfully toured international festivals. Rinaldas graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2022. Bachelor’s degree in Film Directing, and in 2024 – Master’s degree.
