About us
The Lithuanian Short Film Agency “Lithuanian Shorts” is the leading non-governmental organisation fostering short film culture at both national and international levels. The primary goals of the agency are to actively represent Lithuanian short films and filmmakers, and to implement initiatives for audiovisual culture accessibility, education, and audience development.
Founded in 2012 by film project manager Rimantė Daugėlaitė and film producer Marija Razgutė as a platform for the distribution of Lithuanian short films, the agency has, over more than a decade, become an organisation that has gained national and international recognition, implementing large-scale audiovisual projects. In 2024, Lithuanian Shorts was acknowledged at the National Film Awards “Silver Crane” with a special prize for fostering short film culture at the national and international level.
“Lithuanian Shorts” collaborates with a range of organisations, institutions, film schools, the private sector, film festivals, and cinemas. It curates short film programmes and promotes the Lithuanian short film industry across European markets and film festivals. The agency’s largest initiatives include the Vilnius Short Film Festival, the Baltic short film industry event “Baltic Pitching Forum”, and the Baltic mentorship programme for audiovisual women “Baltic Women in Film Mentorship”.
