The latest “Lithuanian Shorts 2025–2026” catalogue features 33 Lithuanian short films

As part of its long-standing tradition, and ahead of the 47th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France, the Lithuanian short film agency “Lithuanian Shorts” presents its 15th catalogue of the latest short films by Lithuanian filmmakers – “Lithuanian Shorts 2025–2026.”

The curated catalogue features films that are awaiting their premieres or have already begun their festival journeys, as well as works currently in the final stages of production. The 15th catalogue is notable for its thematic and artistic diversity, ranging from stories evoking history and nostalgia to explorations of contemporary dilemmas, identity, and the subtle boundary between reality and dreams. The films explore love and transience, the relationship between nature and humans, interpersonal connections, fragments of everyday life, and broader social contexts. Together, they allow filmmakers to reveal their individual creative voices while offering audiences a multifaceted panorama of contemporary Lithuanian cinema.

The catalogue consists of 33 recent short films: 18 fiction films, 4 animated films, 8 documentaries, and one each of experimental, hybrid, and dance films.

“Lithuanian Shorts” has been publishing the catalogue annually since 2012. The main goal of this publication is to promote Lithuanian filmmakers and their works by introducing them to industry professionals at international festivals and markets. The catalogue is intended for festival programmers, film production, distribution, and sales companies, as well as representatives of television and home-cinema platforms seeking new talent and works. Since 2021, the catalogue has been available in a virtual format.

The latest “Lithuanian Shorts 2025–2026” catalogue serves as a virtual film database and will be available throughout 2026.

The compilation of the catalogue was partially funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture. Institutional partner: Lithuanian Film Centre.
