Free “TorinoFilmLab” lectures @ Vilnius

We are looking forward to the very first “TorinoFilmLab” workshop of “ScriptLab”, to be held in Vilnius on 20-26 March thanks to the support of the Lithuanian Film Centre, where the participants of all the 4 actions (original, adaptation, story editing and match point) will come together.
TorinoFilmLab is a year-round, international laboratory that supports emerging talents from all over the world – with a special attention to those working on their first and second fiction feature films – through training, development, funding and distribution activities.
ScriptLab trains scriptwriters and directors developing a script for a feature film, as well as story editors and creative producers. It ventures into exploring different ways in which an audiovisual project can be born: a script based on an original story, an adaptation based on a pre-existing work, and the work of a writer on commission.
Nevertheless the registration to “ScriptLab” is closed, everyone is welcome to participate in “TorinoFilmLab” lectures on 24-25th of March. Lectures are open for public and free of charge.

The stakes of development
Saturday, March 25th, 9.00 am – 11.00 am – Artis Hotel
Development, a natural stage in the creation process ? A necessary stage in the production process ? How to optimize each development stage : of a project ? Of a slate of projects ? In order to help a project or talent emerge, every professional goes through a more or less long phase of development, on a well worn path or not, and with more or less accompaniment. Each film being a prototype, open can’t develop all their scripts or all their projects the same way, but there are some constants to keep in mind, and good or bad habits that can be questioned.
Isabelle Fauvel is founder of Initiative Film, a company created in 1993 and dedicated to film development. Since then, she is the privileged partner of writers, directors and producers for all matters of projects and talents development around the following activities : talent scouting, subject research in literature, consulting, story editing and insightful advising during the whole project gestation period.
