Whirlpool
SūkurysJonas and his girlfriend, Nina, travel to a remote log house owned by a film director named Rokas, where they are supposed to shoot a film. As they spend time together, the boundaries between work and personal life melt; they cook, dance, go to the sauna, and prepare for the film simultaneously. As Nina’s relationship with Rokas deepens, Jonas feels increasingly sidelined. Tensions rise as people struggle to express their feelings, with their choices leading them in opposite directions.

Director’s Biography
Linas Žiūra
Linas Žiūra is a Lithuanian film director, cinematographer, and screenwriter. He graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater with a Bachelor’s in cinematography in 2018 and worked on various films and commercials, starting as a camera assistant and then as a cinematographer. In 2019, he won the Best Young Cinematographer award from the Lithuanian Association of Cinematographers. In 2024, he received the Best Cinematography award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival for feature-length documentary “Murmuring Hearts.” His directorial debut, “1991,” won Best Director at the European Brest Short Film Festival in 2023. He completed a Master’s in Film Directing in 2024, with his latest work titled “Whirlpool.”
