‘When the Lights Go Out’ is a fantasy film based on a personal experience of the director. Film’s timeline portrays one day at school. To protect himself from bullies, teenager Mantas creates a demon who starts interrupting his normal life. When the classmates assault Mantas and beat him up badly, the guardian demon comes ready to revenge.

Director's biography

Jonas Trukanas

Jonas Trukanas (b. 1990) is a film and commercials director. He studied Film Directing at University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, UK. He is a two-time Berlinale Talent Campus alumni (2013 and 2017) and has been participating in numerous forums and screenwriting workshops. His short films have been screened all around the globe.
