The Last Day

How would you feel if you knew your exact date of death? A time comes when every person in the world can find it out. Beloglazovai family – Kolia, Lena, their daughter Sonia and teenage son Igor live in an old house in Vilnius. Today is the day when fourteen year old Igor must die. All family members know that and in their own way are trying to deal with this burdensome waiting.

Director’s Biography

Klaudija Matvejevaitė

Born in Vilnius in 1995. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Film Directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2018 and earned her Master’s degree in Directing there in 2024, studying under Marija Kavtaradze and Laurynas Bareiša. She works as a casting director, assistant director on film sets, and directs and edits TV shows for LRT television. Her cinematic interests include exploring themes of love, authenticity, and human connections, as well as women’s experiences in the world and the fusion of genre and auteur cinema. Currently, Klaudija is developing a feature film script, working on the post-production of the short film “All in”, and searching for protagonists for a documentary TV series on unconventional friendships.
