The film was initiated by Pompidou Art Centre, which recently organized Retrospective of Sharunas Bartas.

Director's biography

Šarūnas Bartas

Šarūnas Bartas (born in 1964) is one of the most prominent Lithuanian film directors internationally from the late 20th century. Entered the film school VGIK in Moscow in 1986 and graduated in 1991, Irakli Kvirikadze master class. Founded the film studio “Kinema” – the first independant film studio in Lithuania in 1989.
