Out Like a Light
A fallen tree interrupts a not so peaceful family trip to see their relatives. A strange looking woman pops out of nowhere and shakes up family’s existential foundation. A phantasmagoric trip reveals family’s issues and tension, their true faces are shown when disrespect and intolerance come forth. In unusual circumstances in an unpredictable nature, family has a chance to assess each other in a new light.

Director's biography
Laura Tamošiūnaitė
Laura Tamošiūnaitė was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, into a family of musicians, and her earliest memories revolve around her captivation with creative performance.
Passionate about the archaic world and delving into the truths of the subconscious mind, Laura uses these tools to integrate into her cinematic experiences the modern world of man.
Laura draws on two master’s degrees – one in Audiovisual Management from the Media Business School in Ronda and another in Film Directing from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
Having a long experience in film production as a producer, in 2014 Laura created the film studio Oktava LT, possesses a strong artistic point of view and the ability to be a scriptwriter and directing producer, and to organise and lead substantial production teams of highly skilled individuals in the co- creation process of filmmaking.
Laura’s last three short films travelled internationally (“Grand prix for the Best Student short film” at Bastau IFF (2019), “Best music award” at RAVAC IFF, Moldova (2019). “Fanaberia. Switch on the light” (2021) is a short film-haiku, based on one of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s comics.
Laura is in the pre-production stage of a feature length fiction film, written by Jaroslav Melnik, the same Lithuanian novelist who wrote her previous short film, “Visiting God”.
