Directors’ Biographies
Arnas Balčiūnas
Arnas Balčiūnas is a Lithuanian film director and a graduate of KIMO (National Film School). His debut short, THROUGH GLOOM, won Best International Film at Friss Hús ISFF. His follow-up, HUBBLE’S LAW, has screened at more than 25 international festivals, while his bachelor’s graduation film, PAST THE HILL OF NAPOLEON’S HAT, received a Special Mention at Drama ISFF. CLASS PHOTO is his Master’s thesis film, premiering at Semaine de la Critique 2026. Arnas has received two Silver Crane awards (the Lithuanian National Film Awards) for Best Student Work of the Year.

Milda Juodvalkytė
Milda Juodvalkytė is a Lithuanian cinematographer and a graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she specialized in cinematography.
In 2023, Milda was nominated at the Lithuanian Association of Cinematographers Awards for her work on the film “Through Gloom” (dir. A. Balčiūnas). She received her first award from the Association in 2024 for the film “Hubble’s Law” (dir. A. Balčiūnas), followed by a second win in 2025 for her cinematography in “Past the Hill of Napoleon’s Hat” (dir. A. Balčiūnas).
