Kircheninneres
An unfinished painting “Kircheninneres” made by a German artist Adolph Menzel comes to life through the ruins of modern society in a post apocalyptic vision, where the only way to survive is to dominate. The church, which has become the only shelter, is in the center of a conflict among two youth gangs. The main character of the film, leader of one of the gangs, tries not to get tangled between the necessity to survive and the desire not to lose his beliefs. He is not backing out of the battle, he strives to protect his girl and not to let his friends down. The hero gets wounded in the brutal battle, yet in a blink of a danger his beloved saves him. The hero’s gang reaches the victory, but instead of glorious church bells echoing, a thunder of flying jet planes takes over. The dreams of a sound tomorrow collapses in the eyes of the lovers.
