Fierce Gods

The film focuses on oboe player Linas. By spending one day with him, we get to know his daily routines, his life story, and his worldview. The contrast between memories of growing up in a rough neighborhood of Naujininkai in Vilnius and working as an orchestra musician uncovers a portrait of a sensible, bright, and unbroken person. W. A. Mozart’s music from “Idomeneo”, along with images from rehearsals, hint to an idealistic, even mythological world that’s worth fighting for.
