Director's biography

Ramunė Čekuolytė

Born in Vilnius. After graduating from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, she worked for a long time as a costume and set designer in various film projects. After that, he went to study in Moscow, where he acquired the specialty of script writing and film director. Upon her return, she contributed to the establishment of the film script specialty at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He teaches screenwriting and film directing. She also studied psychology, drama therapy, is a representative of positive psychology, founder of the drama therapy association. He filmography includes the feature films “Jam Jar” (2009), “The Woman in Gray” (2022), the short films “Grew up” (2009) and “Two Hours” (2010), as well as several documentaries, “Panaekhali” (2010), “Hierarchy of favorites” (2011). The film “BOS” is the director’s return to cinema after a ten-year.
