Border

Granica

This story is inspired by real events that take place at the Polish-Ukrainian border. The film begins with a journey to Poland. A family is traveling on a crowded passenger bus. Throughout the trip, the communication between the mother and daughter is filled with tension and misunderstanding, as Ivanka disapproves of the idea of moving to Poland. Ivanka is most worried about her pet canary. Throughout the journey, the girl keeps the birdcage on her lap, constantly checking to make sure the bird is okay. As the family crosses the Ukrainian-Polish border, an unexpected problem arises.
