A Wake
IšnešimasA daughter tries to organise her deceased mother’s funeral during the pandemic. Despite her efforts to stick to the tradition as much as possible in order to avoid malicious gossip from the relatives, the wake spirals into chaos.

Director’s Biography
Marius Pocevičius
Marius Pocevičius is an emerging writer and director from Lithuania. Since 2014, Marius has been independently directing B category films, with his latest film, “Kartą Kaime” (2022), released in Lithuanian cinemas, reaching 50,000 admissions. The film was also nominated for the Most Viewed Film at the Lithuanian Film Awards. Seeking to advance his professional career and rebrand himself as an international director, in 2014 Marius graduated from the Film Directing master degree program at the Cinema School of Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. His graduation film, a short comedy titled “A Wake” (2024), is awaiting its world premiere. Currently, Marius is developing his first independent feature, the absurd comedy “I’m not like that”, produced by M-Films.
