A Sea of Hands
In 2023 Lithuanian film professionals from different cinema backgrounds took part in a survey about self-validation in their career path. Their responses were shown to film art students at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Seeing the lived experiences of the professionals, students begin to reflect on their own feelings.

Director’s Biography
Milda Augustaitytė
Milda Augustaitytė – born in 1999, grew up in Kėdainiai, Lithuania. In 2024, Milda graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with a Bachelor’s degree in Video Directing. Her debut short documentary “Number One” (2023) won the Best National Competition Film Award at the 17th Vilnius Short Film Festival, the Best Documentary Award at the Slow Film Festival in Hungary and the Best Student Work of the Year 2024 Award at the National Film Awards “Silver Crane”. Her second short documentary, “A Sea of Hands” (2024), was presented at the European Film Festival Scanorama.
