1991

The year 1991. A hot summer night. Lithuania-Belarus border. It is nearly dawn. There are two customs wagons on the roadside. One of them has been burnt down. In the other one, border guards sit in silence. Someone opens the door without knocking.

Director’s Biography

Linas Žiūra

Linas Žiūra graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with a BA in Cinematography. Since his graduation in 2018, he has been working on various projects as a cinematographer, mostly in fiction and documentary films. Linas Žiūra has won a “Young cinematographer” award from the Lithuanian Association of Cinematographers. After directing his debut film, “1991”, he decided to deepen his knowledge in directing and now studies MA Film Directing at the LAMT.
