Birutė Kapustinskaitė works as screenwriter and playwright for cinema, theatre, and audio projects. In 2018, she received the National Golden Cross Award as the best playwright. For the screenplay of the film “Sasha was Here” she received The Best Screenplay Award at the Aubagne Film Festival in 2019. She teaches screenwriting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and Vilnius University. The short film “Mothers” is her debut as a director.
