Vilnius International Short Film Festival

Vilnius International Short Film Festival is one of the biggest short film festivals in Baltic countries, presenting the newest and best short films from all around the world.

Established in 2006, Festival became a unique platform in Lithuania, not only screening European but also global professional short films made by the upcoming generation of the talented filmmakers.

Each year Vilnius International Short Film Festival holds an international short film competition programme, which involves about 60 most acknowledged short films produced during the last two years. The films are judged and awarded by an International Jury. There is also a national competition, which presents a condensed selection of  Lithuanian short films. Last but not least, the festival features retrospectives and special theme-based programmes.

Vilnius International Short Film Festival takes place in January. Festival programmes are screened in cinema theatres Skalvija and Pasaka in Vilnius, festival visits other Lithuanian towns as well: Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Ukmergė.
