Lithuanian Stand at Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market

Lithuanian short film delegation participates in a prestigious short film festival in France. Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival annually gathers over 50 thousand film admirers from around the world. Because of its importance for the European film industry this festival often nicknamed the little Cannes festival.

Since 2013, “Lithuanian Shorts” agency participates in Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market with a National stand where the delegation presents newest Lithuanian short films, production companies and film schools and introduces the main Lithuanian short film events – Vilnius International Short Film Festival, Baltic Pitching Forum, Baltic Shorts Residency and others.

Virtual 36th Clermont-Ferrand Short Film market was held on 1-5 February.

Baltic Shorts stand 2022

37th Clermont-Ferrand Short Film market was held in a hybrid format on 31 January – 4th of February, 2022.

In 2022 for the first time in a Market’s history, three Baltic countries had a joint BALTIC SHORTS stand, where visitors were able to hear about the newest Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian short films, short film events taking place in the Baltic region, to discuss the film industry in Baltic States and to discover new possible collaborations.

BALTIC SHORTS is the collective name for the film institutions and festivals from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania that present and promote the best Baltic shorts for the international film community. The stand was organized by Lithuanian Short Film Agency LITHUANIAN SHORTS, PÖFF Shorts (Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival), Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS, Riga International Film Festival, Latvian Animation Association. Baltic Shorts stand 2023

38th Clermont-Ferrand Short Film market was held on 30 January – 3 February 2022.

In 2023 three Baltic countries once more united to present a joint BALTIC SHORTS stand, where attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian short films, get updates on short film-related happenings in the Baltic region, engage in discussions about the film industry within the Baltic States, and explore potential new collaborations.

39th Clermont-Ferrand Short Film market will be held on 2 February – 10 February 2024.

Since 2013, the Lithuanian short film agency “Lithuanian Shorts” has been participating in Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market presenting a national Lithuanian short films stand. From 2022,  “Lithuanian Shorts” together with Latvian and Estonian partners presents the Baltic Shorts stand, where the visitors are introduced to the newest Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian short films,  industry events, festivals, and co-production possibilities.
