Film “The Trolleybus Man” to enter the prestigious Brest Short Film Festival

The film “The Trolleybus Man” by Jonas Trukanas which premiered at this year’s Festival “Kino Pavasaris”, will be shown on the main Brest European Short Film Festival. The festival, which is approved by the BAFTA (British Film and Television Academy of Arts), is taking place since 1986 and is the second largest festival in France.
The film, which was shot in Vilnius, is successfully picking up awards at international festivals- the best visual effects award “in Kolkata (Calcutta) and the best film prize in “Farm” (Italy) festivals.
“The Trolleybus Man” is also going to be shown in such international film festivals as “Totoshka in Belarus, “Cinemania” in Kansas, “Meters” in New York,”Sedicicorto” in Italy, “Litauisches Movie Goes Berlin” in Germany, and “MAIPU” comedy festival in Argentina.
The absurd comedy, inspired by Vilnius realities, tells the story of the trolleybus fleet mechanic who becomes a superhero to save his workplace from the clutches of information technology and protect his beloved trolleybuses.
After at first glance easy, movie plot is hiding painful issues: the eternal conflict of generations, the price of technological progress, the responsibility for their decisions and the collision with the consequences.
